Our dry riser systems are designed and installed in line with BS 9990 and include:
A ground-level breaching inlet with instantaneous couplings
Outlet valves at every level, including the ground floor
Valves located in fire-resistant, ventilated areas for safe hose connection
Instantaneous couplings for quick and secure hose access
Valve security via chain and padlock, or integration with monitoring systems
During construction, a dry riser should be installed once any floor reaches 11 metres above access level where combustible materials are stored. For buildings exceeding 50 metres, a wet riser is required.
Our systems are designed in accordance with BS 9990 and include:
A dedicated storage tank (typically 67.5m³ or 45m³ with 500 l/min infill)
Duty and standby pump sets delivering 750 l/min to the two most remote outlets
Pressure-reducing outlet valves at every level, including the ground floor
Staged systems where outlet pressure exceeds 20 bar
Maintenance valves at 10m intervals for sectional isolation
Test and drain lines for flow testing and water recovery
Emergency infill for fire brigade use at ground level
Wet risers must undergo commissioning flow tests and annual servicing. During construction, a dry riser should be installed from 11 metres and converted to a wet riser once the building exceeds 50 metres.
They are installed in accordance with EN 12845, the European standard governing the design, installation, and maintenance of these systems.

Residential and domestic sprinkler systems can be installed retrospectively, without the need for major intrusive works such as opening walls or ceilings. This is achieved by housing the pipework within preformed boxing, with sidewall sprinkler heads fitted flush to the face of the boxing.
While not required in older buildings when first constructed, many building owners, landlords, housing associations, and stakeholders have chosen to install sprinklers retrospectively to enhance fire protection.
This proactive approach to fire safety significantly reduces the risk to life and property in the event of a fire.
